In Odzala, every day is filled with fantastic sigh In Odzala, every day is filled with fantastic sightings but @kezi.in.the.congo recently put in the hours, waited, and was finally able to photograph African Grey parrots and African Green pigeons landing in Lango baï.

“The sound that they make flocking into the baï almost sounds like thunder.”

During November and December, she found that the pigeons were more likely to land in the afternoons and the parrots in the mornings. This sighting is however not guaranteed, but our guides in the field continue to observe and attempt to tap into their schedules.

Stay tuned for more updates!

In the Jan/Feb 2023 issue of @condenasttraveller , @stanleystewart.writer beautifully describes his experience in the Congo basin; from watching a family of western lowland gorillas enjoying their morning breakfast, to enjoying sundowners on the deck at Lango Camp with a view of forest elephants frolicking in the baï, to boating up the Sangha River. His narration is complemented by the mesmerising photography of @alistairtayloryoung. This is a must-read for everyone wanting to visit our glorious part of the world and those wishing to relive the magic once more.

Thank you also to @cherribriggs and @explore_inc for facilitating this adventure.
